Zacuto for Sony FS7 Z-Finder V2 # Z-FIND-FS7-V2
Viewfinder with 2x magnification specially developed for the LC display of the Sony PXW-FS7 and PXW-FS7 II cameras.
The FS7 Z-Finder is supplied with a snap frame that is used to attach it to the LCD of the Sony PXW-FS7 and PXW-FS7 II. The Zacuto Z-Finder Pro can be folded in and out for quick recordings.
The red lever on the underside of the frame allows the Z-Finder to be quickly folded up without taking it out of the frame. It can be opened up to 140 degrees. If a producer, client, director, etc. wants to look in the viewfinder, you can flip it open instead of adjusting it so they can focus their eye on the magnifying glass. You can also open the Z-Finder and use the FS7-LCD as a monitor.
This Z-Finder doubles the size of the LCD screen and has a diopter for individual focusing. It prevents the incidence of extraneous light and offers a starting point for stability by pressing the eye against the comfortable, large eyecup. The Z-Finder is supplied with an optical lens from Zacuto with a diameter of 40 mm, anti-fog coated protective covers and the fastening system specially developed for the FS7 Z-Finder. With the diopter, the focus can be adjusted so that it matches the eyesight. If additional focal points are needed, you can use the supplied Z-Finder Extender Frames. These are semi-permanent, stackable frames that attach to the housing of the Z-Finder and place the Z-Finder glass further away from the LCD screen for people with far-sightedness. The diopter range with the supplied lenses and extension frames is -4.0 to 0.0.
If more adjustments are needed than the extender frames provide, you can add a drop in diopter for further diopter adjustment. The interchangeable anti-fog diopters -1, +1, +2, +3 and +4 correct the focus on the individual eyesight for perfect clarity. An aluminum sunshade is integrated in the Z-Finder to protect the LCD screen from sunlight. The diopters are installed under this sun protection.
WARNING: The Z-Finder is a magnifying glass and, as such, magnifies the sun, which can damage the LCD screen when the sun shines directly through the Z-Finder lens. Use the enclosed lens cap to prevent light from entering your Z-Finder when not in use. Using the Zacuto Z-Finder shortens the length of the entire FS7 "viewfinder" and contributes to balance and comfort
